Folk Tune

With this piece I wanted to embrace the pastoral and improvisatory nature of playing folk tunes, with melodies being seamlessly passed between the three instruments. The music goes through many sections, from a stately opening, to a lively jig. A syncopated percussive section appears in the middle section with cello playing pizzicato and flute playing slap tongue, before the opening material comes back to end the piece.
